I just completely wiped and reinstalled my OS to see if the problem would be solved: no luck.

Whats happening: every once in a while, my screen will go blank and the computer will shut down.

Ive recently noticed that when Im not using a mouse, this either doesnt happen or it hasnt happened recently.

Ive also had problems with a SanDisk flash drive- when I plug it into the USB port, the computer inputs will freeze up.

I can still use a mouse if its connected, and the computer is still functioning.

However, the trackpad and keyboard are completely non-functioning.

Does the usb port work fine if it does then your only option other then replacing the logic board is to use external keyboard and mouse.

I had this issue on my macbook pro, it hung and crashed when i restarted both trackpad and keyboard would not function, so i took it to the AASP a few days later they told me they are replacing the mainboard as when both fails its a problem with the usb controller.

It was doing it beforehand, but I decided to reinstall my operating system.

However, I lost my re-install disc and thus downloaded and installed a bootlegged copy.

Is there a way to get replacement operating system install discs Is this issue even related to the Kernel Panics.
